a while back, got me a few times, so yeah, interesting in hindsight (after I learned to just stay away) that they're breaking it up. Sort of the classic corporation around 2000 that it was really made their money as a big bank, (like GMAC for GM, etc.) Guessing the idea here is to bring back focus on the products, medical, aircraft, renewable energy? although reading that hurts their credit worthiness, ie, 2 outta three should be doing well. On the other hand, . Healthcare and aircraft have been doing OK apparently and might be more interesting now as pure plays.

Anyway, GE seems like one of those shaggy dog stories going back years and here's a resolution.

PS Noting that GE sold its appliance business to Heier group in China in 2016. I have three big appliances, dishwasher which I've had for 20 years, stove about the same and microwave in 2016 which I'll believe is Heier b/c it was dirt cheap.
